Payment and Cancellation

Payment

  • Credit/Debit cards

  • HSA/FSA Cards

    • Please Speak with your insurance around requirements to utilize this

I am considered an out-of-network private pay practice for those not covered by the providers above. For those who wish to utilize my cash pay option (non-insurance), I require payment up front via a secure app (IvyPay). For each session conducted, I can provide you with a monthly clinical receipt for you to personally submit to your insurance for potential retroactive reimbursement. Each policy is unique and it is important to discuss the specifications of your plan with your insurance to confirm what you may qualify for. I encourage you to call your insurance provider to ask some of the following questions:

-Does my insurance plan reimburse for out-of-network, outpatient mental health services? If so, how much/what percentage does my plan reimburse for?

-Is a diagnostic code (diagnosis) required for reimbursement?

-Does it cover telehealth sessions?

-How do I submit claim forms “superbills” for reimbursement?

Cancellation Policy
Non-emergency cancellations or must be done at least 24 hours before a scheduled session.

Late cancellations/no-shows will result in the billing for a full session fee.

Good Faith Estimate & No Surprises Act

As of January 2022, you have a right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much medical care will cost. Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give clients who are not using insurance or don’t have insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

You are entitled to an estimate in writing before scheduling any services with a new provider.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

For more information and questions about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit: www.cms.gov/nosurprises
